We went to the Dora show in Raleigh last Friday night. While I did struggle to buy these tickets, thinking that the cost was too much and that they both wouldn't love it, I was so glad that we decided to go. As soon as we found our seats, both of them were ready for the show to begin. Audrey got right up in her seat, pointed to the stage (where there was a curtain with Dora on it) and said "Dora". The show was about an hour and fifteen minutes with an intermission and they both loved every minute of it. It was completely interactive and had them shouting words and standing up to do motions and they were very into it. I don't know what I was thinking, it obviously was designed for preschoolers. For the first 30 minutes, I'm not sure that Audrey moved. She just sat mesmerized by the actors, songs, and lights. Chip said that she was afraid if she moved it would stop. I highly recommend it to any parents of preschoolers if it is coming to your area. While the tv show is not really a favorite at our house the Stage Show was great. To quote Andrew, "it was the best thing I've ever seen!"
Audrey finally is back to her usual happy self. After a very long weekend and the fact that she only slept 3 hours last Sunday night I took her back to the doctor and we switched her antibiotic and started giving her a probiotic for her tummy. She was 100% better the next day. I'm thinking that the 1st antibiotic was just making her feel crummy and she couldn't tell me (in words...her actions were telling enough).
That's about it for us, no big plans for this weekend, except to get Andrew a haircut tomorrow. It's funny that I can actually think about taking Andrew for a haircut now and not want to cry. Oh, I remember those days just 2 years ago when taking him for a haircut was such an awful experience, full of screaming, crying, and kicking. Now he just goes right in and doesn't think twice about it. I never thought that day would come. Here's two pictures of them at gymnastics. My camera battery died soon after I got there, so I'll have to get some more pictures next week.
Happy Friday!
